Call for Papers

Service-Oriented Community Coordinated Multimedia (CCM) aims to enhance, augment, and extent personal experiences by merging technologies of multimedia computing and communication, Web services, and social networks.

In succession to SCCM 2008 workshop in Beijing, SCCM 2009 workshop encourages researchers and practitioners to further explore the paradigm of SCCM and methodologies of service orientation method and Service-oriented Architecture for modeling multimedia applications as Web services. All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of 2009 IEEE Congress on Services (SERVICES 2009) in a special section. The following topics are encouraged to be addressed, but not limited to:

•    Human-centric and service oriented  methods
•    Service-oriented community coordinated multimedia architectures
•    Process modeling and service design
•    Multimedia processing and applications as Web services
•    Knowledge representation and service description
•    Middleware and protocols for service communication
•    Service-oriented pervasive computing

•    Community-aware service computing and social network management
•    Web service specification for community coordination
•    Protocols and middleware design for communication management
•    Overlay and peer-to-peer communication in community networks
•    Load balancing for community coordination
•    Converging broadcast and datacast services, interactive television
•    Digital home and mobile TV technologies and services for communities
•    Advanced multimedia content delivery
•    Content processing, analysis, and indexing in digital communities
•    Content -based search and indexing for multimedia sharing
