CALL FOR PAPERS
Miami, Florida, USA, July 5-10, 2010
in conjunction with CLOUD 2010
Cloud computing gained prominence in 2010 and is picking up momentum as the next “big thing” in computing. “Cloud” works as a third-party between users and computational resources. Consumers of the “cloud” are concerned with services it can provide rather than the underlying technologies used to achieve the requested function. The advancement and convergence of grid computing and web services has much facilitated the growth of cloud computing. Other net-centric computing paradigms like utility computing, ubiquitous computing or on-demand- computing also promote flourish of cloud computing. However, what new challenges does cloud computing bring on security, reliability and quality? In other words, what new issues raised in the evolution from grid computing (or other net-centric computing paradigm) to cloud computing are needed to be considered?
This event is to bring together scientists, engineers, educators, industry people, policy makers, decision makers, and others who have insight, vision, and understanding of the big challenges in cloud computing. Topics of interest include but are not limited to the theoretical, technical, or empirical aspects of the following:
Papers have to present original research contributions not concurrently submitted elsewhere. All manuscripts will be reviewed by members of the program committee based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. All papers accepted by this workshop will be published in a combined volume published by IEEE Computer Society (which is under the care of CLOUD 2010). Papers must be submitted to the IEEE CLOUD 2010 submission system: http://www.confhub.com/conf.php?id=177 .
