Call for Workshop Proposal under IEEE 2012 Services

The topics of workshops are centered on services, information assurance and its applications. They cover not only Web Services, Services Computing and Cloud Computing, but also information assurance and security, service applications in various industry, government, healthcare, and scientific and engineering communities.

Since 2003, workshops within conferences have provided a platform for presenting novel ideas in a less formal and possibly more focused way than the conferences themselves. As such, they also offer a good opportunity for young researchers to present their work and to obtain feedback from an interest community.

Built upon the success of past workshops, we call for workshop proposal for the IEEE 2012 Serices Workshops. There are some changes this time. We will invite academic and industrial leaders to organize workshops. But, we also welcome any proposals that fit the theme. For self-proposal, we ask the organizers should have at least Associate professor or equivalent rank in academia, or senior research staff with over four years working experiences if from industrials. The long term goal of workshops is to grow workshops and to have them continued every year, to graduate them for main conference if such needs arise. Moreover, Workshop organizers should have clear implementation plan. Workshop coordinators will work closely with workshop organizers closely.

If you are qualified and interested in organizing a workshop for the IEEE Services 2012, please Download the word file the workshop proposal template or the pdf file the workshop proposal template Please submit your proposal via the 2012 Proposal Submission and Review System. And cc to the workshop organizers.

Workshop proposal deadline is January 15, 2012. It is a firm date.

All the accepted papers by the workshops will be included in the Proceedings of the Seventh IEEE 2012 World Congress on Services (SERVICES 2012) which will be published by IEEE Computer Society

For all workshop organizers, if the workshop receives more than 50 valid submissions directly submitted to the dedicated online workshop submission system and accepts more than 10 quality regular papers from them, the workshop will receive one free registration, and up to three key workshop chairs will each receive a Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Services by Serving As Chair of "Workshop Title" from the 2012 IEEE 8th World Congress on Services (IEEE SERVICES 2012).
